Gay"
Signed by the crew members
The Enola Gay, piloted by then Col. Tibbets was solely responsible
for the organization, training, and command of the world's first nuclear strike force. On the morning of August
6, 1945, Col. Tibbets flew the Enola Gay (named after his mother) into the future by dropping the world's first
atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. In a few days, following the drop on Nagasaki, the war would end, and the start
of the nuclear Cold War would begin.
This
model is now hand autographed by crew members Captain Theodore "Dutch" Van
Kirk & 2nd Lieutenant Morris R. Jeppson and includes
a Certificate of Authenticity and photo.
The
Enola Gay signed by Paul Tibbotts is
no longer available. He passed away Oct. 31, 2007 at
age 92
All airplane models are Hand Carved,
Hand Painted Mahogany and come fully assembled with removable desk stand.
